Floor Registers

Floor Registers are functioning grilles that allow you to control the air flow from your air duct openings. These grilles are simply dropped in the opening of it's size. Underneith the floor register is the plastic dumper box that can be opened or closed with a small lever sticking out from the top.

Wall Registers

Wall Registers are the same thing as Floor Registers but they go into the wall opening. To do this they have two screw holes at the sides as well as a couple of matching screws. You can perform all functions with a wall register as you can with a floor register.

Other Registers

Cold Air Returns are similar to Wall Registers but they lack the damper box to control the air flow. Thus cold air return is just a grille with screw holes at the sides for wall mounting. If you don't need to control the air and need to cover that air duct this grille is for you.

Baseboard Registers are designed to fit into the corners between wall and floor. They cannot control the air flow, but they can close such openings that floor registers or wall registers cannot.

High Velocity Vents are small round floor registers that usually go into basements where you have your washer and dryer. These floor registers fit into a round pipe and cannot control the air flow through it.
